Joint Health & Safety Committee Meeting

Minutes – May 30, 2010 at 1:30 pm

Old Business:

· Log Book Auditing – Marissa has come up with a list of the Infractions. We will continue to work on designing a Rewards Program for monthly Log Audits. Bruce is going to meet with Gerry at RHI.

· Pre-trip Inspections – This issue was addressed at the Driver’s Meeting on May 29, 2010

New Business:

· Workplace and Truck Inspection completed by Cindy on May 27/10.

· The broken ladder in the Shop needs to be put out of service. It is to be removed from the garage.

· Fire extinguishers in the building need to have a monthly in-house inspection. The pressure gauge and pin are to be inspected.

· It was suggested that the fire extinguishers in the trucks be checked when the truck is being serviced.

· Marissa is going to be pro-active about getting the owner operators to hand in their Maintenance Records in a timely fashion.
